CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — Veterans often struggle with sleep related issues, especially those diagnosed with PTSD. In an effort to fix this, Clarksburg’s Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center hosts the largest Veteran sleep studies program in the mountain state.
According to the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs, veterans with PTSD struggle more with sleep than the general population. The sleep studies program aims to assist veterans with sleep issues find a path to better sleep.
“For patients, who do have sleep apnea, they cant sleep, its more than just they cant sleep, it is affecting their health overall,” said respiratory therapist Brandi Vickers
