India’s middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer has expressed gratitude for the love and care he received during his recovery from a serious injury sustained on the recent tour of Australia.
The 30-year-old, who was hospitalised in Sydney following a laceration to the spleen and internal bleeding during the third ODI against Australia on October 25, shared an encouraging update on social media.
“Sun’s been a great therapy. Grateful to be back. Thanks for all the love and care,” Iyer wrote on Instagram on Monday, along with a picture that suggested he has returned to light outdoor activity.
