EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A 59-year-old man is facing kidnapping and other charges stemming from an incident over the weekend in Chaves County, New Mexico.

New Mexico State Police said that at about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 they responded to a violent domestic incident after scanning neighboring agency radio traffic.

State Police officers learned through the Pecos Valley Regional Communications Center (PVRCC) that a woman had called 911 and was saying her ex-boyfriend had pulled out a knife and was threatening to kill her.

During the 911 call, the suspect could be heard threatening to kill the victim and yelling at her for calling law enforcement, State Police said.
