LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Our cold snap is about to be in the rearview mirror as temperatures go from well below normal to well above normal starting Tuesday.

Let’s start with the Lincoln forecast. Morning temperatures will be in the 30s, but afternoon highs should be in the 60s.

Low to upper 60s are likely statewide.

Slightly cooler highs are in store Wednesday as winds shift back out of the north with low to mid 60s.

Precipitation is not expected over the next 48 hours, but we will see increasing cloud cover late tonight into early Tuesday with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies during the day.

Dry weather prevails through Friday with now only small chances for moisture over the weekend and into early next week. Mild weather continues into Saturday as well with low 50s later on.
