Those with outdoor plans this Veterans Day will be treated to a dry day as a shortwave ridge builds over the Pacific Northwest on Tuesday maintaining dry weather with seasonable temperatures.
The National Weather Service says we’ll see increasing mid-to-high level cloud cover by the afternoon as the next system approaches the region.
But before it gets here, Portland will see a partly sunny day with high temperatures reaching a few degrees above average at around 59 degrees.
Wednesday will start with dry roads and freeways, and cloudy skies, but rain is likely by the afternoon as the ridge shifts eastward and a wet system swings through northwest Oregon and southwest Washington by the evening. The high will reach about 63 degrees.
