PITTSFIELD TWP., MI — A long-planned sports bar near Ann Arbor is opening in the next few weeks.

CD Top Shelf, part of the Southeast Michigan-based sandwich chain Chop Detroit, will unveil its new location at Biggby Coffee Ice Cube, 2121 Oak Valley Drive, “in the next 30 to 60 days,” according to Matthew Kavanaugh, co-owner of Chop Detroit.

The bar will be the chain’s third spot after iterations in Chelsea and Brighton and will be in a glass room overlooking the stadium arena.

Kavanaugh, 44, described the forthcoming bar as “modern” and “laid back.” It will offer pizza, chicken tenders and other fried foods.
