RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Rents in the city of Reno have increased 6.1% since last year, according to new data released by the Nevada State Apartment Association.

Their data shows that the average rent in Reno is $1,728. The city also has an occupancy rate of 90%, up from 87% last year.

Data also shows 1,205 units under construction, with the highest concentration being built in downtown Reno, the North Valleys and in Sparks. New apartment construction is also being heavily concentrated around the airport.
