MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Over 20,000 shelf-stable milk cartons were delivered to Sunshine Place in Sun Prairie, a partner of Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

Kemps partnered with Pick N’ Save and Metro Market to make the donation. The 8-ounce carton can be on a shelf for up to one year and are designed for food banks and kids backpack programs.

Those involved say this donation will make a big impact for those in need.

“I can’t overstate how important this donation is for us,” said Mark Thompson, with the food pantry. “Forty percent of the people that we serve are 17 and under. That’s who will consume this product and chocolate milk is very popular with that group.”
