MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A Madison man was arrested early Monday morning after he led the Monona Police Department on a car chase.
MOPD said that they were alerted by Madison Police Department around 1:20 a.m. on Monday that they were behind a car driven by someone who had driven off from Sun Prairie Police Department earlier in the night.
MOPD set up tire deflation devices along the car’s suspected path before they attempted to make a traffic stop, in case the driver took off again. Officers then tried to pull the driver over on US Highway 12.
While the driver originally slowed down and appeared to stop the car, police reported he quickly sped up again and led Monona Police on a chase.
