CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The homicide trial for the two men accused of killing Scott Brooks , co-owner of Brooks Sandwich House, continued Monday with expert testimony and new evidence presented to jurors.
During the morning session, prosecutors played surveillance video showing Brooks’ final moments outside his family’s iconic NoDa restaurant in December 2019.
In the footage, Brooks is seen preparing to open the business when two armed men approach him and moved him to the back of the business. The video shows Brooks with his hands up as the suspects check his pockets and take his belongings. Moments later, Brooks pulls out a small gun before he’s shot.
