CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Prosecutors showed a jury surveillance video from the Brooks’ Sandwich House of its co-owner, Scott Brooks, being ambushed and killed.

The video from an early morning in December 2019 showed Brooks arriving to the restaurant to prepare for the day.

Before he can enter the restaurant, two men approach Brooks and hold him at gunpoint while they go through his pockets.

Prosecutors allege the two men in that video are Steven Staples and Terry Connor Jr., who are on trial for first-degree murder.

In court on Monday, prosecutors also showed the jury bullet casings that were found at the scene and the hat Scott Brooks was wearing when he was killed.
