GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - SNAP recipients in the state say they’re struggling without their November benefits as the back-and-forth over funding continues amid the government shutdown.
The Associated Press says President Donald Trump asked the Supreme Court to hold off on full SNAP payments again on Monday. The Supreme Court is expected to decide Tuesday whether to pause orders from lower courts to keep the money flowing or grant President Trump’s request.
About 35,000 families across Pitt, Onslow, and Craven counties rely on SNAP benefits. SNAP beneficiary and Greenville resident Candy Mindina-Enriquez says she’s ready for the uncertainty to end.
