KINGSTON, N.Y. — The Catskill Mountain Railroad’s Polar Express rides open its season on Saturday, Nov. 14.
“Set to the sounds of the motion picture, passengers will relive the classic story as they are whisked away on The Polar Express for a magical trip to the North Pole,” an announcement said.
Once on board, passengers will have their golden tickets punched by the conductor as dancing chefs serve hot chocolate and a cookie. As the train traverses the historic Ulster and Delaware Railroad corridor, passengers will read along from the classic children’s book “The Polar Express” by Chris VanAllsburg. Like in the movie, characters on each car will lead passengers in caroling and offer onboard entertainment.
