A Lafayette teacher and coach who died over the weekend in a house fire. The fire broke out Sunday morning and firefighters found John Millican unconscious in a room. His wife and two children made it out safely.
John Millican is remembered not only as a Lafayette teacher and football coach, but as a devoted father, a loving husband, and a man who made a difference in every life he touched.

An autopsy will be performed to determine his exact cause of death.
"He was always a happy person. He was a very devoted husband and father. He loved teaching school and loved coaching ball,” said Mona Barlett, Aunt.
