FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KFVS) - As temperatures take an early dive this season, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is hoping to raise awareness for its second annual “Cops, Community, Coats and Kids” winter coat drive.
The sheriff’s office is collecting new winter coats for students in Franklin County schools.
Sheriff Kyle Bacon said kids in Franklin County need the help, with many coming from families facing financial hardships.
Bacon said 2024’s coat drive was a huge success, and he is hoping to build on that momentum.
“We have worked with our community partners, school administrators and resource officers to identify the needs of our kids,” he said.
Donating is easy. You can simply drop off your coats at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at 403 E. Main Street in Benton, Illinoi
