Police are seeking the public’s help after a chunk of concrete was hurled from a Doylestown Township overpass, shattering a vehicle’s windshield, authorities announced on Monday, Nov. 10.
The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, along the northbound lanes of Route 611 beneath the Dublin Pike overpass, according to Central Bucks Regional Police.
Three juveniles were seen leaning over the railing moments before the impact, police said. One of them—described as about 5’7” with long brown hair, wearing a dark beanie and dark jacket—allegedly dropped a 3-by-3-inch piece of concrete onto the passing vehicle.
The driver was not injured, but the windshield was shattered, investigators said. The juveniles ran from the scene toward East Sandy Ridge Road on Old Dublin Pike.
Anyone who saw the incident, knows the juveniles’ identities, or has dash cam footage is asked to contact Officer Greg Kutys by submitting a tip or calling 215-345-4143.
