RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Travelers at Richmond International Airport (RIC) are experiencing significant disruptions likely related to the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) mandatory flight restrictions.

While the FAA has not directly ordered flight cuts at RIC, numerous cancellations are leaving some passengers frustrated.

Passengers arriving at or departing from RIC on Monday were closely monitoring flight information. Many are seen with their eyes glued to flight boards, constantly checking for updates.

“I hit refresh on the app every 30 seconds to see if the flight has been cancelled or delayed,” said Steve Johnson, a traveler headed to Charlotte.
