VERMILION PARISH, La. (KLFY) – Second Harvest Food Bank is helping make grocery shopping a little easier and affordable.

Their Mobile Grocery Market is a traveling food truck that brings fresh produce and essential groceries right into local neighborhoods.

Instead of residents having to make a trip to the grocery store, this “store on wheels” is coming directly to them, serving multiple communities throughout 23 parishes, including Vermilion Parish.

“Typically, the mobile market is kind of like what it sounds — a rolling grocery store,” said Kiara Richard, Mobile Market Coordinator for Second Harvest Food Bank. “It brings fresh produce, fresh protein, dry goods; all at fair prices, cheaper than your actual grocery store.
