India’s youngest and fastest-growing airline, Akasa Air, is open to exploring flights to China when the opportunity arises. In a conversation with Business Today TV, the airline’s Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Praveen Iyer, said Akasa remains focused on expanding across other markets, with a strong emphasis on the MENA & south east asia region. The carrier will soon begin international operations from Delhi as it awaits new Boeing aircraft deliveries, expected sooner than planned. Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has grown to a fleet of 30 aircraft, flying to 24 domestic and six international destinations — Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait City, and Phuket. The airline, which has a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX jets, is also eyeing future routes to Singapore
