Tempe is making room for the ever growing sport of pickle ball. Construction begins Nov. 17 on eight new pickleball courts , doubling the facility's capacity from eight to 16 courts.

Fencing for the area will be placed during the week of Nov. 10. The two eastern. The other six courts will remain open for play.

The project is scheduled for completion by late spring to early summer 2026. Once finished, all 16 pickleball courts will be available for classes and drop-in play .

Tempe opened the first ADA accessible courts in the state in 2019. All courts are a first-come first-served basis.
