Sally Kirkland enters hospice as actress faces 'significant health crisis'

Sally Kirkland has entered hospice following a string significant medical incidents over the past year, all while living with dementia.

Michael Greene, a spokesperson for the 84-year-old actress, told TMZ Sunday that Kirkland was in hospice in Palm Springs, California. An update on a GoFundMe page for Kirkland also confirmed that the Oscar-nominee was in hospice.

“Thank you for all your love and support. Sally is grateful for your kindness and love,” the message from Friday, Nov. 7 read. “Sally is on hospice now and is resting comfortably. Please hold and send the light for Sally.”

Kirkland had been “facing a significant health crisis” after SAG-AFTRA canceled supplemental insurance in 2021 for members over the age of 65, according to the GoFundMe that was created on Nov. 18, 2024.
