TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - While the first step in ending the government shutdown has begun, flights across the country continue to see delays and cancellations, including in Tucson.
On Monday, the Tucson International Airport saw more flight delays and cancellations than it had on any day in the past week.
Holly Rollefson is one of dozens of passengers flying out of Tucson on Monday whose flight plans have changed due to the shutdown.
“It’s just been really frustrating, I mean, you check in, you think you have a boarding pass, you think you’ve done everything correctly, and you get cancelled,” Rollefson said.
She was supposed to be back home in Minneapolis Sunday night, but now is expecting a Tuesday night arrival if no other cancellations or delays happen.
