The Chicago Hounds have extended the contract of their 2025 team captain, Lucas Rumball, for one more year. The announcement was made on Thursday.

Rumball, who has twice been named to the All-MLR team and was a Second-Team honoree in 2025, joined the Hounds before the 2024 season after five years with the Toronto Arrows. He is also captain of the Canadian national team.

During his time with Chicago, Rumball has started in 20 out of 28 matches and set career-highs for appearances (16) and starts (15) during the 2025 season, his first as captain. He finished that season with 152 carries for a total of 336 meters and beat 22 defenders while carrying the ball.
