HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Parents should immediately stop using two specific lots of ByHeart powdered infant formula after 13 babies across 10 states developed botulism, Connecticut health officials said Monday.

The Food and Drug Administration recalled lots 206VABP/251261P2 and 206VABP/251131P2, both with “Use by 01 Dec 2026” dates printed on the bottom of cans. ByHeart voluntarily recalled the products following the multistate outbreak.

The Connecticut Department of Public Health said no cases have been reported in the state, but officials are monitoring the situation closely.

“Parents and caregivers should stop using any recalled formula and follow the FDA’s instructions for safe disposal or replacement,” the health department said.
