LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A deadline arrives Tuesday for states that rely on water from the Colorado River: Reach an agreement on a plan to manage the river, or the federal government will put its own plan in place.
Nevada, Arizona and California — the Lower Colorado River Basin states — have been working behind closed doors right up to the deadline to find some sort of compromise with Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming — the Upper Basin states.
