CCTV footage has revealed that the car, Hyundai i20, which exploded near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, was parked for over three hours near the historic Sunehri Masjid, leaving the spot just minutes before the deadly explosion that killed at least eight people and injured several others.
The footage shows the silver i20 entering the parking area adjacent to the mosque at 3.19 pm and remaining there until 6.48 pm, leaving the spot shortly before the 7 pm explosion that ripped through Subhash Marg near Gate No 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station.
