BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Light flurries fell in Blairsville for much of Monday evening. The scattered flurries blew more intensely briefly around 6:30 pm for about 20 minutes. The snow dusted some roads during that timeframe and coated parts of grass.
Gail Dunmyer couldn't be happier with the snow. She and her husband extended their vacation when they heard it could snow.
“Oh, well, we don’t get that experience from Florida very often, so we wanted to take advantage of it and see some of that special magic white powder," Dunmyer said.
And take advantage they did, driving up to Brasstown Bald, where snow dusted the roads and capped the highest trees.
