BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Several north Georgia school districts are responding with alterations to their end-of-day schedules for Monday and could potentially be impacted Tuesday as a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued in the region.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday for the following north Georgia counties: Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Dawson, Towns, Union, Lumpkin, and White.
Snow showers and flurries are working into north Georgia from Tennessee as cold Arctic air spills into the state. Flurries have already started, and snow showers could increase as the afternoon wears on. These snow showers will be coming down quick enough to produce some light accumulations, especially on grassy and elevated surfaces along the higher elevations.
