COVINGTON, Ky. (WXIX) - A meeting was held Monday in Covington that addressed parking in the Mainstrasse village area.

Lifelong Covington resident Chris Meyer says the Mainstrasse area can get congested easily.

“It’s a problem now because we’ve grown so much,” he said.

He and many others can remember a sleepier, less busy Covington, but as the population booms and businesses grow out, the city has formed the Motor Vehicle Parking Authority.

Executive Director of the parking authority J. Kyle Snyder said that they host quarterly meetings to hear from residents.

“We do care, we’re trying to make it better and not just create problems,” he said.
