The Muldoon area sees a lot of activity, with bus riders commuting in and out. People Mover says the three bus stops here in the Muldoon area are very busy and serve about 600 residents a day. The new transit center hopes to not only bring a new facility but also improve safety in the area. “The way that the bus stops are spaced, we try to funnel all the pedestrians through the light to make safer crossings,” said Bart Rudolph with People Mover. “But still, a majority of people getting on and off the buses are crossing at mid-block.” The hope is to have an off-street location where all the buses can come together in one place with an indoor waiting area for passengers.
