GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Among the sea of green and gold at Lambeau Field on Monday night, one fan stood out immediately — and not just because of his accent or kilt.
It’s not hard to spot Matthew McLaurin from Scotland — or to figure out where his loyalties lie.
McLaurin says his Packers fandom began about fifteen years ago, back when the Green and Gold won the Super Bowl and he was managing a Packers bar in Paris, France. Ever since then, he’s been hooked.
In fact, he even started a Facebook group called Packers of Scotland to connect fellow fans across his home country.
“You sell it that way — a local team for local people, that is the best franchise in the NFL,” McLaurin said.
