WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - On Monday, Goodwill Industries took another step in serving the Wichita community, with the grand opening of its first work-focused opportunity center.
The Goodwill Opportunity Center, which opened near 47th and Seneca, will provide hands-on experience in technical jobs while assisting with transportation, housing and childcare.
"This center is focused on work, and so we are partnering with other businesses here to provide work opportunities and hire people to meet the needs of those businesses as well as provide access to workforce development," Laura Ritterbush, the president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Kansas, said.
