ASHEVILLE - Overnight closures have begun on Interstate 26 in South Asheville as crews continue removing the old Blue Ridge Parkway bridge over the interstate.

Both directions of traffic will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nov. 9-13 between Brevard Road at Exit 33 and Long Shoals Road at Exit 37, the North Carolina Department of Transportation announced Nov. 7.
