Improvements are coming soon to one of Edinburg's hike and bike trails.
City crews are working to add six canopies throughout the Chapin Hike and Bike Trail.
Each canopy will have a bench and water fountain.
A city spokesperson said lots of people go to that trail to exercise, which is why the canopies are needed.
Two workout stations will also be added to the hike and bike trail.
“They'll be surrounding the park, it's not only going to be in a designated area,” Edinburg Parks Manager Eddie Salinas said.
Construction starts on Tuesday, Nov 11, and is expected to be completed within two weeks.
