The Museum of South Texas History is teaming up with Pharr to highlight the city's history.

The museum will be collecting family stories and artifacts from the community through September 2026.

“It's really giving a lens to the city of Pharr through which to see itself,” MOSTHistory Director and CEO Francisco Guajardo said. “Once we see what people are interested in having archived, then we'll be able to grow this relationship."

According to Guajardo, some collected history may be added to permanent galleries, others might only be in temporary exhibits.

Future museum events with the city are in the planning stages.
