A tense moment occurred when a United Airlines 777 experienced engine failure shortly after crossing paths with Princess Anne’s flight.

United Airlines flight UA97 bound for San Francisco, USA , was forced to stop on the runway at Brisbane Airport after its left engine reportedly caught fire during takeoff.

The Boeing 777 had began its takeoff roll on the western runway but did not lift off and came to a halt.

Moments earlier, Princess Anne had touched down in Queensland’ s capital on board a commercial Qantas flight from Sydney, NSW.
