AFL star Tanner Bruhn is keen to return to footy after all charges were dropped in a previously secret court case involving accusations of rape and sexual assault.
The Geelong footballer and his friend Patrick Sinnott had both been charged with rape and sexual touching offences dating back to February 2023, but prosecutors formally withdrew the charges on Tuesday after the court heard the case was based on “false allegations”.
The Geelong player sat out the entire 2025 AFL season with what was reported to be a finger injury. However it can now be revealed the 23-year-old was facing two counts of rape after a court suppression order was lifted.
Mr Sinnott had been facing one count of rape, while both men also faced two counts of sexual touching and one count of compelled sexual touching.
