People in Stockport are demanding something be done about an ‘eyesore’ former petrol station which they say has become a dumping ground for rubbish.

The land is on the corner of Stockport Road and Kent Road, based next to Cheadle Heath Park.

Residents living nearby said the land has been empty for years and is causing issues in the area.

The Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) found one side of wooden hoarding around the site had blown down, leaving the land accessible from the street.

Stockport council said its enforcement team has visited the site following complaints and is in talks with the landowner. View 3 Images
