A 26 year old has pedalled from Cheshire to Nepal, covering roughly 120km daily and camping along the way, with the aim of arriving in Thailand by December.

Olly Hargreaves, from Poynton, Cheshire, drew inspiration from his father, Phil Hargreaves, 62, who cycled from the UK to Australia in 1984, and has harboured dreams of undertaking something similar since he was about 10 years old.

Following his university graduation in 2021, Olly managed to save around £6,000 for the expedition.

He left on April 17 this year, pedalling through France, Germany, Austria and Croatia, alongside Greece, Turkey, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, India and Nepal.
