BARBERTON, Ohio — A boy and girl playing outside and an adult were injured when they were attacked by a dog, according to a police report.
The attack occurred on Nov. 6 near the intersection of Tennessee Place and Iowa Place, the report shows. The owner of the dog, a 36-year-old woman, tells police her son was going to take the 9-month-old male pit bull breed out for a walk when it ran past him and out the door.
The dog first attacked the girl, whose age was not included in the report. Her brother put his hands between her and the dog in an attempt to stop the attack, the report says.
A woman who lived nearby also attempted to stop the attack but was bitten on a finger. The report says another woman used a taser on the dog, forcing it to let go of the girl’s arm.
