A suspected blast shook Islamabad on Tuesday, killing at least 12 people and injuring several others. The blast took place outside a court in Pakistan’s national capital.
The death toll was confirmed by state-run Pakistan TV. Reports said the explosion happened near a district and sessions court in the G-11 area.

Reuters earlier reported a police spokesperson as saying they were investigating what caused the explosion. A forensic team was reported to be on its way to the blast site.
Reports said the blast happened near the entrance, which is normally crowded.
The Islamabad blast took place a day after a bomb blast near the Red Fort in Delhi killed at least 12 people.
