CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Businesses, restaurants, and some services are honoring the nation’s heroes with free food, discounts, and special promotions for veterans and active-duty military members for Veterans Day.

Veterans Day is observed annually on November 11th to thank veterans for their service and to recognize their patriotism, courage, and sacrifices.

LOCAL RESTAURANTS AND BUSINESSES

Underground Chuck’s - Offering a 20% discount on any entrée for veterans who visit on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To qualify for the deal, veterans and active-duty military members must present a valid military ID and dine in at the restaurant.

Melvin’s BBQ - All veterans and active-duty military personnel who come into the restaurant on Veterans’ Day, Nov. 11, can receive a free Little Joe
