The coldest morning so far this season across the Tennessee Valley, with out-the-door temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Wind chills are making it feel even colder, in the low 20s.
As we head into the afternoon, highs will be noticeably warmer than yesterday, reaching the low 50s under plenty of sunshine.
A gradual warming trend is expected through the rest of the workweek, with highs climbing to above average by Friday, in the low 70s.
We’ll stay dry through the rest of the workweek and the first half of the weekend, but a more unsettled pattern will return by Sunday afternoon and into next week. The Climate Prediction Center has outlined most of Alabama under a slight risk for heavy rain.
