MADISON, Ala. - A veterans building in Madison is receiving a much-needed roof repair, thanks to a veteran-owned company, just in time for Veterans Day.

Jason Thompson, the building owner and president of Veterans Engineering, Training, and Services, shared that the ceiling at the entryway has been a longstanding issue. However, with the help of Madison VFW Post 5162, a solution was found.

"They said what can we do to help so I said if you can find someone to fix this building and the roof on the stairwell going upstairs that would be tremendous," Thompson said. "The next day they came back and said we know an organization they try to help other veteran businesses in town with a project every year."

The organization turned out to be C&K Roofing and Construction, a veteran-owned business
