New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) Voting is underway in by-elections for eight assembly constituencies spread across seven states, with the Election Commission implementing stringent security protocols to ensure a smooth and fair polling process.

The constituencies going to polls include Budgam and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, Anta in Rajasthan, Ghatshila in Jharkhand, Jubilee Hills in Telangana, Tarn Taran in Punjab, Dampa in Mizoram, and Nuapada in Odisha.

Early reports from the Chief Election Commission of India indicate encouraging voter participation. By 11:00 AM, Budgam recorded a turnout of 21.74 percent, while Nagrota saw 34.47 percent. Jharkhand’s Ghatshila and Mizoram’s Dampa registered turnouts of 34.32 percent and 34.38 percent, respectively.
