As Veterans Day approaches, businesses across Northeast Ohio are rolling out special offers to honor the region’s veterans and active-duty service members.

Akron Zoo

The Veterans' Appreciation Days at the Akron Zoo will be from Nov. 7 to 11. Veterans get free admission with a valid ID and their families will get 50% off admission.

Humane Society of Summit County

All veterans, active-duty military members and their families can receive 50% off adoption fees from now through Nov. 30.
