LINCOLN CITY, Ind. (WFIE) - We’re down to just eight high school football teams, still alive in the playoffs -- six in Kentucky, and two in Indiana. One of those, is Heritage Hills.
The Patriots just won their first sectional championship, in class 4A, with a resounding 38-8 win over Jasper.
Their entire sectional run, was impressive though, as they pounded Washington 56-7, then beat Reitz 31-14, and then the Wildcats, to raise the hardware.
It all started up front, for the Pats. Offensively, the O-line blocked great, helping them run for 215 yards, on Friday.
It’s not just the offensive line that’s been dominant -- the defensive front has been like a brick wall.
So next up, Heritage Hills will now host Martinsville, in the class 4A regional championship, Friday night, at 7:00.
