PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Police are looking for a driver who struck a pedestrian overnight in central Phoenix.

Officers responded to the area of 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 3 a.m. on Tuesday after a man was hit by a vehicle.

Police told Arizona’s Family the man was crossing 19th Avenue when he was struck. The man was taken to he hospital, where he is expected to survive.

There was no description available for the suspect vehicle that fled the scene.

19th Avenue was closed in the area as the investigation unfolded.
