A Milan Miracle? Beating defending state champion and second-ranked Providence would not take a miracle but this looks like a tough challenge for the Indians, who avenged a regular-season loss to No. 7 North Decatur with a 27-7 sectional championship win. This Providence team has not been as dominant as last year, but sophomore quarterback Nikolas Fondrisi has played well, going 23-for-34 passing for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 42-26 win over No. 9 North Daviess in the sectional title game. Milan, which averages 265 rushing yards, lost 28-10 to Providence last year in the regional.
