Bail was denied for a 15-year-old boy charged as an adult in Saturday’s screwdriver assault at the Towson Town Center.
The teen from Baltimore City is charged with six counts, including attempted second-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the attack.
During a bond hearing Monday, the judge also denied a defense request to hold the teen in a juvenile facility. According to prosecutors, the suspect and several other teens allegedly assaulted the victim and stole his watch.
The victim was struck in the head with a screwdriver while trying to retrieve his watch and was taken a hospital for treatment. The suspect, who has a juvenile record, faces a preliminary hearing on Nov. 21.
